#SocialMedia Bootcamp
With David Yarus

This session will cover next and best practices on key social media topics like content strategy and community management to Facebook ads and analytics. Learn how to efficiently and effectively leverage social media tools to maximize impact on campus and online. We’ll also cover the foundation principles of “social by design” programing and a quick crash-course on the modern millennial mindset. 

Put Some Parsha in Your Pancakes
With Kayla Reisman

There are several types of Hillel events: engagement driven events like bagel brunches and coffee hours, Israel related programs, Jewish holiday celebrations, etc. But at the end each program, what have the participants gained? What will they take away from these events? In this session you will learn how to incorporate elements of Jewish education into your Hillel events so that people come away with a deeper understanding of Jewish knowledge and their Jewish selves.

Building a Vision and Values Based Community
With Maiya Chard-Yaron

Are you looking to create a new community on your campus? Or re-vision and re-shape one that exists? This session will explore key steps in building a people-centered, participatory, vision driven community, and how to take ideas and values and translate them into action.

Building Singing Communities
With Joey Weisenberg

Using ideas from his book Building Singing Communities, Joey discusses strategies for bringing people together to make music a lasting and joy-filled force in shul and Jewish life.  We will sing, discuss, and have time for Q&A.

Transformation of a Nigun
With Joey Weisenberg

Based on his extensive experience with nigunim (wordless melodies), nusach (prayer chant) and other musical styles, Joey teaches how to explore the soul of any melody.  Focusing on beautiful old melodies that may have been lost by history, as well as his own compositions, we will collectively bring the music to life.
